Under the Affordable Care Act, hospitals throughout the country are now required to conduct a Community Health Needs Assessment every three years and to develop a community benefits plan in response to the findings.
Feedback from the anonymous survey, along with information gathered through focus groups and publicly available data, will help the hospitals identify and prioritize the current health needs of Butte County residents. With that information, they will each develop a three-year plan using programs and services offered by the hospitals, as well as resources available through local agencies, to help address identified needs.
